A compact three-function sheet metal working machine which will shear, roll and bend thin sheet material up to a maximum width of 305mm. The handle operates all three functions at the same time - the rolls are rotated directly whilst the bending and shearing functions operate via an eccentric cam. The bending dies can be removed in sections to allow for partial bends to be formed and the top roll can be removed completely when forming closed cylinders. The maximum thickness capacity of steel 0.5mm, aluminium 1.5mm makes this a most suitable piece of kit for the home engineer's workshop.
|Overall L x W x H||380 x 420 x 300mm|
|Rolling Capacity||Steel 1.0mm, Aluminium 1.5mm|
|Shearing Capacity||Steel 0.5mm, Aluminium 1.5mm|
|Width of Bending Fingers||25, 50, 75 & 102mm|

Perfect!I ordered this on the weekend, it arrived on Tuesday AM. It comes bolted down inside its own wooden box, so it's impossible to damage. Despite this, the backstop bracket arrived slightly bent. Be warned, it really does weigh 45kgs! It took both the delivery man and I to carry it inside and it was not easy to lift onto the worktop. All the exposed metal surfaces are coated in a very thick, sticky preservative. It took me 2 hours and half a bottle of rubbing alcohol to get it clean. Setting it up isn't too difficult. I wanted it for precision cutting aluminium, which it does very well. If you set it up carefully you can cut square edges, to about 1/4 mm accuracy. Not bad. It also cuts with virtually no distortion to either piece of metal. Once you get the hang of it, it can be a very fast and efficient set up. The bending is straight forward too, although setting up to a precise angle basically consists of guessing, check the angle, set the stop, bend a bit further, check the angle etc.

Good, but with limitsWorks brilliantly on aluminium, both for shearing and folding, but struggles cutting wider sheet steel when you get close to the 1mm maximum thickness ...the top blade would benefit from being more rigid. Very competent at rolling sheet of any material. All in all a useful addition to the workshop.

Useful multi-toolBirthday present four years ago and a well used workshop tool for shearing and bending. The supplied rollers are a bit too big in diameter for most of my model building work, but home made replacements and adaptations are in hand. Beware of its weight!
