Reading Safety Glasses

I have had a pair of the 3M BX Readers Bifocal Safety Spectacles for three years mainly for general protection when machine working in the shed and close up work. But since taking up my old hobby of fishing again last year I have found them an truly ideal item of equipment to use for tying hooks and for doing general close up work.
I keep them on as they are very comfortable and adjustable. They save having to repeatedly put your reading glasses on and off. Mine have been through the wars but are still okay I am now buying another 2 pairs so that I can keep one pair in the shed and the other in my tackle box.

Fantastic, good quality PPE

These glasses are comfortable, don't restrict vision and are optically very good. For anyone that just needs reading glasses for close work, they are absolutely ideal for use in the workshop.

Safety Readers

I bought these around 6 weeks ago and have been using in the workshop, especially when turning and they work really well. Have just reviewed them and added more images here: http://www.glue-it.com/model-engineering/tools/safety/3m-safety-reading.html

Ideal for people who wear specs to read

These are really great if you normally wear specs to read. I was going to get my optician to make me a pair then I saw these in the Axminster catalogue. 3M should be promoting these much better. They have reading lenses in the lower part of the field of view so you can wear them all the time and still have good vision for close up detail work. There are 3 different strengths. The only negative is when you are looking up e.g. wiring ceiling roses you can't see through the magnifying part. The arms are adjustable for length and angle so you can get a good fit and they don't fall off easily.
