Nice system

Just purchased this kit and spent the afternoon installing it in my new workshop, I am very pleased with the kit and its overall quality, the pieces fit together very well indeed so I will take a long term view on some method of fixing them together as some of the previous reviewers have suggested.
In common with previous reviewers I too have a total of 12 joiner pieces left over but needed to purchase 3 additional 45 degree joiners as replacement, quite why so many joining pieces are supplied in place of some of the more useful components I have no idea!
So time will tell how this system works with my dust cyclone and Numatic NVD-750 extractor, I will keep you posted, finally thankyou to the staff at the Nuneaton branch for their assistance and advice.

Now I have a tidy shed!

Arrived promptly and well packed. it is easy to cut to size and fit together. the best way to fit is with a small screw so they dont come apart over time, but i found that there is no need to seal joins as they are a good fit. the kit has a large variety of parts so there is only need to order minimal parts separately. however im a little disappointed that axminster do not sell any Y joiners as you loose less air flow through them rather than Ts. now the system is up i would not be without it. Well done Axminster!

improved my systenm

Re-arranging my system with one of these kits has vastly improved the dust collection in our workshop. I have a 100mm collector which runs to a table saw first then into this system with a band saw, belt sander , disc sander, bobbin sander and a scroll saw. You can see the dusyt going up the pipe !!! The only negative is that the quantities of bits could be better ...I didnt use any joiners and could have done with more brackets. But still well worth the money

Good but could be improved

The kit represents good value, but like the other two reviewers, I would say it needs more right angle bends and fewer straight joiners. I used silicone sealant on the inside of the joints. These have a marked taper on them (the insides of the joiners, bends and t-pieces) so that I needed to drill through each joint and pop in a small self-tapping screw, otherwise they just slid apart again.
I used rainwater downpipe sockets upside down to connect flexible hose to the blast gates.

Well worth the money

Excellent value based upon the individual prices. There are some minor points however, there are not enough 90 degree elbows! The gates SHOULD be mounted vertically or they fill with dust and don’t work at all… again, use duct tape or some sealant to seal the joints. Best cut the pipes with a mitre saw and get them exact. I’m using it with a 12” Disc Sander and a Bandsaw, and all seems well. This is absolutely ideal for a small workshop, where 100mm pipe would be an overkill.
