This is a larger sized three function metal working machine which will shear, roll and bend thin sheet material up to a maximum width of 750mm. The handle operates all three functions at the same time - the rolls are rotated directly whilst the bending and shearing functions operate via an eccentric cam. The bending dies can be removed in sections to allow for partial bends to be formed and the top roll can be removed completely when forming closed cylinders. The maximum thickness capacity of steel 0.8mm aluminium 1.5mm makes this a most suitable piece of equipment for the home engineer or small trade workshop.
|Overall L x W x H||1,020 x 410 x 510mm|
|Rolling Capacity||Steel 1.0mm, Aluminium 1.5mm|
|Shearing Capacity||Steel 0.8mm Aluminium 1.5mm|
|Width of Bending Fingers||25, 51, 75, 152, 203 & 254mm|

IMpressive chunk of metal for the money.This tool is quite beastly and looks like a mini version of what you would find in a large manufacturing plant complete with little silver plaque describing the machine just like a proper one. You get a lot of iron for the money and at 135kg its not light so you will need a solid bench to bolt it to. It comes covered in nasty hard grease type stuff that will take a couple of hours to clean off with a sovent to make the work surfaces less sticky and gummed up. The operating handles have not been rounded off and are very sharp cutting my hans if I dont use gloves which is poor. A bench grinder can be used to remove the sharp corners. The machine can only cope with thin sheet so you need to realy think about what you are going to use it for but it does work well if you stay within its considerable limts. It is worth the money though and is useful for cutting aluminium or alloy sheet that you can not use an angle grinder for.
