Short on shank

If cutter performs like other cutters from excaliber then will be very pleased. Issue is cannot use it as shank is too short to use inverted in a table. Cannot understand why cutter designed for table or overhead routers come with short shanks. I have ordered the extension but that is out of stock so job on stop until that is available. There were no set up instructions so had to download the instructions for the equivalent cutter from the Trend web site. Had the shank length been included in the details then I might have avoided it and gone for the mitre lock cutter block for my spindle moulder.
