In Detail

Alternate Top Bevel ground teeth on the fine cross cut blades blades ensure a clean, fast cut. The tops of alternating teeth are beveled to one side of the blade or the other at approximately 15 degrees. This tooth configuration bears a sharp pointed tip that provides a neat clipping action for very fine finishes. Two teeth will span the entire width of the kerf. The Alternate Top Bevel ground teeth on these fine cross cut blades blades ensure a clean, fast cut. The tops of alternating teeth are beveled to one side of the blade or the other at 15 degrees. This tooth configuration bears a sharp pointed tip that provides a neat clipping action for very fine finishes. Two teeth will span the entire width of the kerf. It produces very low cutting pressures that almost eliminate the tendency to tear out. The chips fall free in the chip spaces created by the large side clearance angles.
The rip cut blades feature trapezoidal ground teeth, known as a Top Centre Ground tooth profile where one flat top tooth is followed by a trapezoidal tooth which is slightly higher. The higher tooth cuts material narrower than final kerf, helping to eliminate chipping and tear out. This provides the finest finish on all woods or man made boards including faced boards.

Axcaliber "Premium" circular saw blades are from the world's largest blade manufacturer. Using the latest production techniques and the best materials, the Premium blades feature micro grain TCT tips and resin damped laser cut plates to substantially reduce noise whilst cutting. The "Premium" range is the blade of choice for all joinery and cabinet workshops demanding the very best performance.

Better than excellent!

WOW! I was dubious about how quiet the blade is... I popped the 80T blade in my Bosch GTS 10 and for good measure did a rip cut in 2" oak (yeah I know not the blade for it, just testing..) incredibly there was NO noise bar the sound of the motor!!! The cut was clean as a whistle no burning nada and with out a zero clearance insert! I won't be looking else where for my blades!

Excellent update

Just fitted the 40 tooth to a Makita MLT100 saw with outstanding results. No sign of burning and is remarkably quiet in operation.
Wish I had done it sooner.

Superb blade

Holy cow! This blade has turned my Bosch GTS 10 into a dream machine. Of course I knew that the blade it came with was never going to win any awards, but I was not prepared for the total magnificence of the cutting quality of this blade. Smooth, clean, so quiet. I will never buy anything else from now on. Yes, it is a fairly hefty price,. But there's a reason for that, and it is all about engineering excellence. Buying tools is almost always about maxing out your budget to the most you can afford, and in my experience it's usually the best option. Do yourself, and your saw motor a favour and buy one. Better still buy a selection to cover your cutting needs, and chuck your stock blades into a dusty corner for using on firewood.

Excellent blade (24 t ATB)

Used this blade for about 2 yrs now and not reviewed it before as needed to see how it performed with time. Pleased to say it has coped with chipboard mdf soft wood and just recently hundreds of feet of 6 x 2.5 Sapele. Probably the best rip blade that has come through my hands.
