In Detail

An Axminster 150mm Rotary Table plus a tailstock and indexing plates for more advanced operations.

Axminster 150mm Rotary Table
This 150mm(6") diameter rotary table with four 11mm(7/16") radial T slots and a No 2 Morse taper centre sleeve may be used in either horizontal or vertical positions. The centre height when used vertically is 100mm(3.94") and the table height in the horizontal position is 83mm(3.27"). The periphery of the table is finely marked in degrees and the collar on the operating handle, which drives the table through a 90:1 reduction wormgear, has a vernier scale which allows settings down to 20 seconds of arc. A very accurate and well made piece of equipment which will find a place in many a model engineer's workshop.

Axminster Rotary Table Tailstock
A substantially made tailstock with centre height adjustable over the range 80 to 110mm. The base size is 130 x 95mm and there are 15mm wide slots at the two ends for securing it to the machine table.

Indexing Plates for Rotary Tables
These indexing plates are used in conjunction with the rotary table to enable the table to be rotated by an exact fraction of a complete turn, a particular requirement when machining gears, sprockets, etc. on a vertical mill. There are three indexing plates in the set which together provide all the subdivisions up to 50 (although 28 and 44 carry very small errors). There are a further 26 subdivisions available between 51 and 100 plus others above 100. The spring loaded index pin locates positively in the holes in the index plates and the two brass setting plates help to keep count of the number of holes moved by the pin.
