In Detail

The Clearview low voltage work light is fitted with a transformer, giving a bright 50W output. The base has four holes spaced at 60mm centres for fixing directly to a bench or machine. Alternatively, there is a choice of a circular magnetic mounting base which screws onto the bottom of the lamp, an L-shaped bracket for fixing to a vertical surface, or a screw clamp for fixing to a bench top. The total arm length is 525mm.

Replacement Bulb

This has beed a very good piece of equipment up until the the build has blown. What an effort to replace the bulb you have to take the build holder out and wiring. It compounds the other review in relation to to replacing bulb. What a poor design which holds back my ratings.

Impractical with Safety Issues

The idea that you cannot simply replace the bulb but instead have to take out the bulb holder and wiring and then replace the lot is stupid and begs the question if the unit should then be Pat Tested? Sorry but this is a major design flaw.

Brilliant light

This is a great light. Very bright, great build quality, satisfying heavy duty switch. I bolted it onto the side of my band saw and I'm delighted with it!

A good buy !

I have owned a light of this type for probably 25 years. Its never let me down and continues to function with the original bulb. Its bolted to my band saw and I particularly like the high light output. The only very slight drawback is the joints can wear resulting in the supporting arm sagging over time and needing re-positioning. Otherwise brilliant- good description don't you think?

great light source

i have to agree with the other reviews, this light works really well 10/10 for the main unit, i am certainly glad i chose this item but I decided to buy the magnetic base rather than attempt to drill cast iron.
The magnet struggles to hold while you are moving the lamp to a new position meaning you cannot alter it with one hand very easily and when you extend more than about 250mm from the base it starts to slip as the unit head is quite heavy. If you can mount the unit using screws it would be, dare i say, perfect. The magmount less so, but this is only due to the heavy durable unit it is trying to hold in place
