A neat flexible drive shaft and carving head which quickly and simply converts all Dremel and the Axminster AMT power tools into a powered carver. The mechanism in the head converts the rotation of the shaft into a reciprocating motion at a speed directly related to the speed of the tool. Using the Flexcut RG chisels, the carver is great for detail work and the decoration of turned or other types of work. The hand piece is 23.5mm in diameter and with the tool mounted above the workstation is exceptionally manoeuvrable without the restriction of a stiff or rigid flexible shaft. Supplied complete with five chisels: two flat chisels, one round end chisel, one curved gouge and a V tool. Length of shaft 1.07m.
|Length of Shaft||1,070mm|

HOW DID I MANAGE WITHOUT THIS TOOL?I have just finished carving a squirrel on a shepherds crook market stick using this excellent tool. You have total control using the variable speed foot pedal from shifting large amounts of timber to intricate detailed work. After a few hours of bonding and getting to understand each others skills I immediately bought the keyless chuck rotary tool to complete my craft needs. Axminster may consider adding this to their current package. I now have a large number of redundant hand carving chisels! My Grandson also observed that for the first time that he could remember I had completed a project of this nature without sustaining any physical damage and Grandma noted that she hadn't seen any of my fingers wrapped in blood soaked tissue and electrical tape for several days. Bonus.
