A well designed and built four function machine offering all the performance and capacities that the keen home woodworker requires. This machine is built around a rugged steel chassis with all cast iron tables, ground to a fine finish, with quite a bit of thought given to making each function easy to use. The 250mm diameter TCT saw blade offers 65mm maximum depth of cut and features a scoring blade for coated boards. The smooth running 1,200 x 120mm aluminium sliding table is fitted with a cross-cut frame that can be positioned where required along the table plus a fence rail that extends out to 2,000mm. The sliding table is adjustable for height and parallel running to the blade. A work clamp and board edge shoe are provided. The rip fence is made of deep section aluminium extrusion and has a micro adjustment facility. A 100mm dust outlet with a crown guard extraction point is fitted. The spindle moulder has three speeds and has a 30mm spindle with a travel of 130mm and a maximum tooling diameter of 140mm. The spindle cutter guards have large alloy fences, adjustable for depth of cut and cutter slot gap. Sprung hold down clamps are also provided. A 100mm chip outlet allows good extraction with a suitable extractor. The planer/thicknesser offers 250mm surfacing and 250mm x 180mm thicknessing capacities. The planing tables are 1,050mm long and hinge out of the way for the thicknessing function. Excellent chip extraction is provided for with a pivoting extraction chute with a 100mm outlet. A separate control lever operates the feed rollers giving a feed speed of 8m/min, this coupled with the three bladed cutter block gives a very clean finish to the work. A simple-to-use switching system controls each function in a safe manner with separate emergency stops and main circuit NVR protection. A mobility kit is provided to make it easy to move this machine around the workshop. This is an excellent machine for those whose workshops are tight for space and it presents very few of the compromises that some combination machines suffer from. N.B. 16A supply required.

Combination machine that works!!!!!!!Sold my table saw, planner thicknesser, band saw, bench top lathe, router table and router. All bought from Axminster. These items were all mounted on mobile bases as my workshop is small. I carefully measured the combination machine on display at Axminster Devon and decided with a workshop redesign it would fit. I bought the display model and Axminster added a cutter block and some cutters to sweeten the deal. The machine was delivered on a pallet ( it is very heavy ) by Richard, one of the most friendly and helpful delivery man I have had the pleasure to meet. On to the machine. The set up and assembly was simple, I downloaded and printed the manual and it is comprehensive. I have run a separate 16 amp supply with an isolator switch for the combo. I have now had the opportunity to use all the functions to make various items in both soft and hard wood. The planner/thicknesser is quieter than my previous one as it runs at lower revs, three blade cutter block still gives same planning speed and quality of finish. The saw is powerful and accurate ( I replaced the blade with a higher quality combination blade ) rips and crosscuts accurate and safe with the sliding table and panel support. The set up for the spindle moulder would be the same as for a stand alone machine. The spindle moulder speeds are easy to adjust. Removing the panel support, planner fence takes two minutes. Lower the blade, slide the saw fence over the planer and buy a sheet of plywood to protect the tables and you have an excellent assembly bench. If you plan your project in steps, 1,cut your stock ,2 plane and thickness it, back to the saw for final dimensions then the spindle moulder for profiles the machine is a breeze to use. Changing between functions seems to be a criticism levelled at combination machines in general. I think this is unfair as setting up individual machines takes almost the same time. To sum up this review : Axminster the best for friendly, helpful and knowledgeable advice, best customer service bar none! The machine is exceptional value for money, the equivalent individual machines of similar quality would cost quite a lot more. The whole package is accurate and of good quality. The dust and chip extraction for all four functions is as good or better than the individual machines it replaced. I can now walk around my workshop easily without tripping over the mobile bases on the old machines. Best of all the dog does not bark when I machine wood as it is much quieter thus keeping the Wife happy. Thank you Axminster.

comb w/working machineboy has it made a difference to my workshop previously populated with three machines now onlytwo a extractor and a new combi. taken a couple of weeks to assemble and test , found the supplied instruction poor print, but the pdf version is cracking , the planer cutter guard arm has been welded out of line but am sure AX will sort this, three motors make it pretty quick to change operation, the ancilary bits are comprehensive and all fit, saw was accurate from the outset ,setting up is easy ,but dont forget to order a 30mm euro block for the moulder as it doesnt come with one. all in all for a diy machine i am please with the performance and accuracy and am not disappointed with my purchase at all purchase and value.
