This is a very solidly made radial arm saw. Radial arm saws have always been a popular choice in a joinery workshop. Traditionally they were used for a multitude of tasks, but now should be regarded as a crosscut saw. These machines are made to a very high standard and are designed to be used every day. Most parts are made from high strength cast iron or machined steel to give exceptional rigidity and consistent accuracy. This machine has an extra long arm giving 760mm crosscut capacity, the power head sliding on a tensioned, four bearing system. The power head can tilt up to 45° with indexed stops for 90° and 45°. The arm can also swivel to the left or right up to 45°, most usefully to the right where you can bevel cut a board up to 580mm. There is an arm rise and fall lead screw; when fully raised there is 215mm under the blade, very useful for haunched cuts or trenching. The large table is segmented, so there is a choice where you position the back stop fence. Offered in two versions, 230V single or 415V three phase; the three phase version has a more powerful motor. These saws are perfect for bespoke timber frame production, floor board sizing or for general crosscutting tasks required every day. Supplied with a 60T Axcaliber Premium blade.
