You get what you pay for

Was given one for Xmas 2014, first used in anger Jan2016. When it worked it worked ok. However it is not very well made.
The pressure regulator failed shut preventing any air entering the gun. Upon examination of the regulator I found that the stem of the regulator valve had broken and detached from the screw knob. Being so long after purchasing I repaired it my self by removing the broken regulator and blocking with a plug and Jab weld. Not surprising the stem broke, it is made of a brittle brass. I think it will do the job I need den then it will have to be binned.

Mini Touch Up Gun.

What a brilliant bit of kit. Usually use two spraycans per picture frame at £6.99 ea. Just done 3 frames - paint cost minimal (£8 per litre) - so saved £40 on first job. Simple to use. Guess airflow n set stop. Then open up Paint screw till desired finish achieved on scrap plywood. Paint about 80% white spitit 20%. Bargain !!!! ( knob at base set open but think it controls air pressure from tank - set on then ignore.) Bobtheframer

Mini Touch Up Gun

Well, ordered yesterday and arrived this morning ! Brilliant service as usual.
I've spent many hours and much money using spray cans to spray picture frames made from beech. Not used a spraygun before so doing the unusual thing of reading the instructions. In the How to use section we have. No mention of what to do with the gun's four adjusting nuts to get the best results.
The trouble shooting chart may help once I get it going. No instructions on how to set the gun up to paint stuff. Parts list is quite comprehensive though.Glad to know that item 44 The "Amplitude Adjust Pole" and item 46 The "Acetabuliform Screw cap" are both present. Will update when I've guessed how it works - should have stuck to not reading the instructions ! Bobtheframer
