In Detail

A replacement, superior rip fence arrangement that will replace the flimsy fences found on many, low cost benchtop bandsaws. This is a very worthwhile upgrade that will make your machine more accurate to use. The fence is 370mm long and the rail 340mm. Some small modification work will be needed to adapt this to most machines, but this should not deter you from making this upgrade.

Excellent value

I bought this to fit onto the bandsaw on a Shopsmith MkV, as their fence is around £200, and I can't justify that. Modification was very easy, just drilled holes to match the table, and bolted it onto the rear of the table, as there were 3 threaded holes there, and I was up & running in about 1 hour. It works well, and is excellent value - it will certainly do my jobs. I suggest you download the manual from the Axminster site, as this is not included with the fence. Delivery was fast and hassle free. I strongly recommend this product.

Small band Saw Rip Fence

I purchased this to improve/upgrade an eBay purchase, it was as expected, perfect.
The quality of the materials is above average an the general construction is strong.
Only one very very minor criticism is that the metal pressure bar/plate on the locking mechanism had a tendency to turn too far on the plastic lever and can be acqward to return to its operating position. I like the ability to custom fit it to your particular saw. 10/10.

Three times increase in the accuracy of my ASWBS Bandsaw

I had to drill and tap two additional holes in the underside of the table and one hole and two slots in the Fence. At the same time I fitted a small 5/8 diameter lever operated eccentric to the front slot. This allows me to compensate for the slightly out of square fence and a blade that has a tendancy to pull to one side. The resulting fence enables me to cut 1 metre lengths of 2" thich timber (Iroko)with an overall accuracy of +- 8 thou. A very pleasing result.
In many jobs it eliminates the need for a thicknesser

Excellent value

I bought this to replace a broken bandsaw fence and it's much better than the original. Once mounted (I drilled and tapped two pillars under the bandsaw table) it's very rigid and easy to use. Probably the best £13.44 you could spend!

Worthwhile upgrade

Bought this because the fence supplied with my axmiinster small band saw broke. Wish I'd done it years ago, a great improvement. I would advise against gluing it on however, because unless you cut the fence you won't be able to change the blade. I drilled and countersunk the bandsaw table and used machine bolts and speed knobs.
