Ever tried drilling a pilot hole for a screw by eye in a hinge countersunk hole? 95% are sure to be off-centre with the screws ending up crooked. For perfectly aligned hinge screw pilot holes the conical nose of the bit sits in the hinges countersunk hole making it virtually impossible to drill anywhere other than in the exact centre. When pushed the spring-loaded nose retracts allowing the actual drill bit to bore the pilot hole. The drill bits are high speed steel for longevity and quality results. The nose piece features three slots ensuring there is sufficient clearance to prevent clogging in use. Each bit is clearly marked with its size for identification. The universal 1/4" hex shank is compatible with all quick change systems drill/drive systems.

Excellent quality and drills where you want it to drill.I had some poor quality and cheaper self entering drills which I gave up on many years ago. Picked one of these up when passing the Nuneaton store. It is now in my everyday tool kit. Keep it clean and it works a treat. Bought another size and will be buying the other two. Payback time in business time saving is very quick allowing more work in a shorter time. Delighted with this product and not a lot of money. ROI is tops.

Works well but keep an eye on the flutesI am using this on 100mm hinges and it does a good job and I am glad I brought it. I have quite a few hinges to drill and think I should have ordered a spare drill.
