In Detail

Trade Classification & 3 Year Guarantee

A bandsaw is probably the most versatile machine in any workshop and often the first machine used when preparing timber. With a powerful motor, large capacities and made to the exacting standards we expect of our Trade range of machines, this bandsaw has become firmly established. It offers excellent safety features including braked motor and interlocked doors and twin extraction ports. A rigid welded steel chassis, cast iron table and heavy duty bearing blade guides are standard, along with a rigid rip fence and precision mitre fence. One often overlooked feature is the ease of changing the blade; it has a quick release blade tensioning lever which substantially speeds up the process of blade changing. Two belt speeds offer the right speed for the job, big or small. A wide range of blades is available, all made here in Axminster. First class build quality, ease of use and versatility mark this bandsaw out as a top machine for trade use. Supplied with rip fence, mitre fence and Axcaliber Premium blade. N.B. 16A supply required.

Wow

Only bought this on Friday, used it once and am very impressed. Will leave a full review once better tested but set up the guides and table this morning and managed to cut some 6x 2 softwood into 2mm veneers very easily and with a very clean finish with the supplied blade

Over the moon

After spending a lot of time researching and looking at Bandsaws I liked the Axminster SBW4300B build quality better than that of the Jet and the Record Power saws within my budget.
I had already taken delivery of a Axminster AW128PT planer thicknesser a couple of months ago which I am very pleased with.
Axminster customer service is also excellent.
I ordered the SWB4300B which was delivered yesterday.
The delivery driver was great as I have a long stone drive. The new manual is easy to follow and clear.
It was all set up in no time. Test cuts were true consistent and accurate.
£180.00 off the machine so I'm over the moon.
I am planing to buy a AW12BSB2 Table saw and AW19FM Morticer over the coming months. Axminster Can't supply the AT2801FDP floor Pillar drill that I was going to order this weekend so reluctantly Record Power will have to get the business.

Oooh, a new manual :)

Axminster have a good customer service reputation and I have to say that, in my experience, this is wholly justified. I had to ask for a replacement table insert as mine had broken. It is made from quite brittle plastic and the blade slot means that the two halves don't have a very substantial join. A (free) replacement was sent by next post.
Following my review of the Axminster SBW4300B back in Nov 2013, I have just received a letter from Mr Matthew Hawkes, the 'Technical Author' responsible for Axminster's manuals enclosing the 'all new and updated' manual. It is a good manual and you should have no trouble following the full colour illustrated set up procedures :)

Fantastic machine complimented by axcaliber blades the make it outstanding

Purchased the bandsaw five months ago. The delivery man was outstanding helped me to carry the machine to my workshop that is at the bottom of a very long garden, I am sure this was above the call of duty. Manual has some gaps however a simple telephone call to Axminster Tools HQ sorted in a matter of minutes any gaps in the manual. 10 out of 10 for delivery 10out of 10 for after sale customer service / support.

Very solid machine easy to use very accurate cut, changing and adjusting the blades is very simple outstanding !!! . I purchased an Axminster thin rip jig, and an Axcaliber premium bandsaw blade what a combinations clean and accurate cutting a dream come true.
I have used this machine to create woodturning blanks, Chair making and making delicate toys for my grand daughter.

Wish I had got one a long time ago.
