Key Features

  • Two uprights and eight arms form a useful wood storage rack
  • 850mm long wall bars with pre-drilled fixing holes
  • 280mm long arms, position at 160mm centres
  • Laser cut from 2mm thick steel, folded for maximum strength

In Detail

Two uprights plus eight arms will give you a very useful wood storage rack. Somewhere to keep all those lengths of timber that will come in handy one day. The wall bars are 850mm long with pre-drilled fixing holes for securing to a wall. The 280mm arms bolt onto the wall bars, at 160mm centres. The arms deliberately slope fractionally backwards to prevent timber from sliding off. Each part is laser cut from 2mm thick steel, folded for maximum strength and painted. Of course should you wish, you can always fix a shelf between two arms and use the rack to store other items. Maximum safe load for a pair of bars is 180kg, maximum safe load for a pair of arms is 75kg. N.B. Fixings not included.

Robust For The Price

Firstly, the set I bought (purchased Nov. 2014) did come with pins to the secure the arms, but they did need some 'percussion' to fit.
Secondly, I'm not using these to support anything which is hugely heavy. I'm using them to store tubes and Unistrut type channel. Which they seem to do with very little flex.

wood racking

one of the cheapest out there, but does the job OK, however will bend even with light weights. Surpised that they don't come with any pins for the arms, so you'll need to buy some bolts or bar to suit !
I was expecting some pins to be included.

could be improved by making the arm inner plate that rests against the uprights thicker - it's this part that bends and makes the arms drop.
