Robust, Reliable and Ready

Originally purchased for fairly modest tasks in the garden on the basis it would have caost as much or more to employ someone with a chainsaw. Since the been using for a few years and have given it some pretty tough challenges like ripping 18 inch doa chestnut, logging seasoned oak with diameter greater than bar length, And I have used with 75 meter extension cables and with great success.
Replaced chain once simply because couldn't be bothered to sharpen original

Would highly recommend

Not so good

I bought this saw just over a year ago and I've had some real issues with it. Firstly it is not okay for ripping and clogs terrible forcing the chain from the sprocket and on one occasion breaking the cover which I replaced myself. Secondly the clutch failed recently and Bosch have decided not to honour the 2 yr warranty on the grounds, they say, that the incorrect chain oil was used. I have always used good oil and cleaned the saw after use and so refute their reasoning.

I've owned a fair few chainsaws over the past thirty years including Stihl, Husqvarna, and currently also the Bosch cordless Li version which now has a problem with oil delivery. I will not be buying Bosch again and will buy a proper Stihl or Husqy.

Excellent

A great saw for the occasional user. Sharp as anything and easy to control. I have cut railway sleepers and logs right to it's full capacity without problems. No gripes with the machine at all. Highly recommended.

Hot Knife

Like the proverbial through butter! Mine was a replacement for a 15 year old model for preparing firewood. Very easy to set up but needs a strong hand to tension the chain. Huge advantage being tool-less.Does not clog-up when ripping, easy to clean afterwards.
