Excellent saw, shame about the weightI have had this saw for a couple of years. The capacity was the big selling point to me and when in my workshop on a bench I love the saw and it gets used a lot. The problem is when taking it out to a job on site. I am well capable of carrying a load but this saw is very heavy and awkward to carry eg up stairs etc. In summary a cracking saw but if using for site work just keep in mind the weight/footprint.

Great SawA fantastic tool, easily the most used machine in my workshop. My only problem with the machine is the calibration is slightly out making mitre cutting a headache. That said, it have always found the factory calibration on mitre saws hit and miss, regardless of the brand. Otherwise the functionality and ergonomics are a brilliant.

Excellent SawI tried the Festool Kapex and was really let down by the build and price. I swapped for the Bosch and have been using it now for several months without a problem.

Perfect for the workshopPerfect to be "fixed" in the workshop due to the size and weight, but still possible to move with built in handles. You can cut Very large "timber" with this mitre saw, probably one of the few with this capacity. Unvaluable for the housebilder! I tried out both Makita and Festool mitre saws but decided for this 12SD due to the very competitive price and all technical details and the rigid finish

I couldn't be without thisFrom my days of owning makita, dewalt and others, I have finally found a machine which I can truly rely on. This has replaced a makita LS1214LX machine which was a real pain to work with. the GCM12SD does everything I need and a lot more. all settings are easier to work with as everything is at the front, adjustable handle and more. definitely a machine I can recommend.
