With its large capacity and ability to make precision cuts, this powerful slide mitre saw is suited to a host of cutting tasks for the professional and home user alike. Offering a cutting capacity of 70 x 312mm at 0°, it has one of the largest cutting capacities of any 216mm (8") saw on the market. Bosch have ensured that every aspect, from set up to cut, is quick, simple and exact. This saw can be used to crosscut, mitre/bevel or make compound cuts, rebate and groove at a consistent depth. It will also crosscut with a -2° undercut facility. Mitre angles are easily set from front locking arm, use the embossed stainless steel scale with indents for quick setting of common angles (override for extra adjustment). Bevels are set by the accessible side lock lever with a quick turret stop for common 22.5°, 33.9° and 45° angles. Fitted with a laser, the cut line is always sharp and clear. The braked 1,600W soft start motor ensures a smooth, consistent power whilst dust extraction is designed from two points, one of which travels with the sliding head to maximise waste collected via your extractor. The table has integrated side fences that pull out to aid work support. A top handle is fitted so that the machine can be carried easily. Supplied with 48T TCT blade for clean cutting.

BrilliantI have had this saw now for a year now as soon as it arrived I had a lot of oak architraves to cut and it cut them all beautifully with the blade that came with the saw. I use this saw most days If you let the blade do the work rather than forcing it you will get a lovely cut and my blade is still the original blade unsharpened still cuts a treat. I was surprised how good and accurate the laser was I don't usually use it but it works well so most the time it makes life easier. The delivery time was great as usual with Axminster with me the second day after ordering. The saw is light and easy to move around and its really easy to set if the angle you desire isn't on a stop then the lock holds it there just fine as I used it to cut segments for segmented bowls and once you have done some test cuts to get the correct angle it will stay there. When the dust extraction is connected to a shop vac, as far as a mitre saws go its the best I have seen yet I have used a lot of Makita saws and a few Dewalt saws all in all I think its a great little saw that will suit the hobbyist or the trades man. Thanks Axminster good job :)

BrilliantDon't be put off by the fact it's made in China - it's extremely well put together. Everything is very accurate with no undue play - you can slice paper thin slivers off the end of wood with it (even across the grain!). The laser is helpful (though does need adjusting now and again), and the depth stop extremely useful for doing things like lap joints.
