The flagship of the Bosch range, the GST 160 CE with body grip is intended for heavy use where quality and accuracy are required. Precise and powerful, the motor has optimised electronics for a constant cutting speed (overload protected); these ensure the right speed is selected whatever the material you are cutting. The tool has 4-stage pendulum action and is fitted with a variable trigger. All important is the double roller blade guide system that ensures minimum oscillations and bending of the saw blade for a very true and precise cut. The heavy duty footplate gives a smooth glide and has tool-free angle change. Overall the machine is very compact with a robust metal gearbox and low vibration. Other features include single handed quick change blade, LED light and dust blower. For the best visibility of the cutline, the extraction port can be rotated or removed if not required. Body grip handle.
Supplied with dust extraction set, 3 jigsaw blades, splinter guard and L-Boxx storage case.

Bosch GST 160I bought the barrel grip jig saws a few months ago, I have always used Bosch Jig saws because I believe that they are the best for the money but sadly they have gone badly wrong , it runs incredibly hot, it smells of burning even when used on light work and not for long periods either!! it does terrible cuts, the blade guide doesn't work at all and now the light wont turn off.

Blade wander, Bosch uninterestI have always been a fan of Bosch, but unfortunately, the performance of this jigsaw just did not live up to expectation... Very bad blade wander (using high quality Bosch blades/correct speed etc) on very gentle curves in soft wood 1.5 inches thick, ruined work on a spiral staircase commission, back to using my old compass plane & spoke shave to re true the salvageable work!
