  • Chrome (Artisan logo)
  • Gold plated writing tip
  • Supplied with German made ink cartridge

In Detail

N.B. Each kit is supplied as the components only and does not include the material / blank.

Our Rollerball Pen Kit is supplied with a gold plated writing tip and a high quality German made ink cartridge. The Rollerball pen writes a dark, medium point line and is a total pleasure to use. The 24kt Rollerball Kit is similar to the 10kt but has a black stripe down the clip instead of the famous Artisan logo. A quality ink cartridge is supplied with all kits. We recommend the use of the cap adjuster tool (210083) to aid assembly of these pen kits. Requires 10mm drill. For refills order 340240.

When using a mandrel to make these pens the 310387 Bushing Set will also be required.

Nice Kit

Very nice finish, although the nylon cone is a little fussy. Use either a posidrive No.3 or good size of a plain screwdriver to adjust . File a small notch for the clip to avoid the wood being exposed. Good quality rollerball insert..

Top tip

I find it much easier to insert the nylon clip AFTER the top is assembled and then to screw it on, as it is held properly aligned with the barrel. I find all the fountain and rollerball kits are excellent.

Beautiful pen which matches the fountain pen.
A few points to note:
Watch out for mis-moulded clips (the nylon cone). Carefully work the clip onto its thread before assembly as it may be very stiff. Axminster make a special tool for driving this or grind a flat on a Pz3 tip.
The cap end is exposed (the only serious drawback of the kit) so beware of using fragile woods that might chip.
Lastly, make sure you align things when assembling - it is very easy to get the nib and the end piece on a skew.
