Description

In Detail

N.B. Each kit is supplied as the components only and does not include the material / blank.

No-nonsense mills at the sort of price that makes them a good craft fair project. Although sold separately, who ever heard of a meal without both salt and pepper? Matched pairs are a much better idea. A choice of two sizes is available with finished heights of either 175mm(7") or 300mm(12").

Fair quality

Just built a short pepper mill; it went all OK apart from the slotted driving washer that is too loose, thin and soft to do its job properly. As a results it gets easily distorted as soon as you start to turn the grinder making the whole thing useless. Some ingenuity is needed to overcome this very poor design. Instructions on .pdf are concise to day the least and for 5 quid you can probably buy the entire grinder, so not so cheap either. Anyway, in the end happy with the results.

Salt & Pepper Mill Kits

Reasonable quality, however, difference between hole sizes for (1) grinding mechanism and (2) retaining plate is only 3mm. This means the retaining screws have to be set at an angle and, consequently, do not fit flush with the plate.

salt & peppermill kits

These are very good quality kits & are easy to fit . Try to be as accurate with the hole diameters as possible and they will make a very professional looking & smooth working mill. They look very good on any craft stall and are a very popular seller. I bought ten of each size to make for my Christmas craft stall and half of them have sold' with a month to go before the market.
Warning:- Don't drop any parts in the shavings.
