Readers of Bill Jones "Notes from the Turning Shop" will recognise this extremely versatile tool. Used for planing cuts, end grain shoulders or finishing and rolling beads in all types of timber, as Bill says "It's a beautiful non-digger". Round bar, 10" overall length. The diameter of the blade is 12mm while the diameter of the handle is 35mm.

Simple but effectiveThis is a deceptively simple looking tool, it is similar to the diamond point (shape not material) tool that I used many years ago for ornemental brass turning. Instructions are supplied which will get you started but think about what you are doing and you will find many more uses for this tool. It's one of those that after a while you will wonder how you ever managed without it!
