This 2,000W router is solid, reliable and a pleasure to use. With its die-cast aluminium housing and twin columns, the plunging action is smooth and accurate. Constant electronic variable speed means the selected speed is maintained under load and a fine finish is achievable in a wide variety of materials. The soft start feature eliminates any small initial movement on start-up. The depth stop has a magnified scale, plus a 3 stage turret enables staged routing to full depth without time consuming re-setting. A precision hardened and ground collet grips the cutter ensuring that it is held true and eliminating vibration. The spindle-lock mechanism makes changing cutters quick and easy. A Professional ToolI Have owned one of these for ten years. They are a good reliable tool. My old one has lost its speed control ability so I have decided to buy a new one. Better the router you know and trust.

Fantastic tool well worth buyingI use my Dewalt 1/2" router to form rebates and cut worktop joints. this tool powers through the material with ease. Glad i brought Dewalt and diddnt skimp on quality. If your looking for this type of router id highly recommend this one and from Axminster it is a reasonable price.

Effortless powerAfter reading other reviews I bought one of these . Nice to see it's made in Italy and not China . So far the handles have stayed in 1 piece . I can see where people are coming from though . If you pick this powerful beast up single handed you get the sound of plastic complaining at the excess strain . Routing lock mortices at full depth with a 12mm cutter is a cinch . Never slowed it down at all ! This router is exactly the same as one of the Trend routers ( A T10 I think) . Watch out if you use a trend guide bush adaptor as concentricity with the cutter may be an issue . Lay the thing on its side to change guide bushes to avoid dropping little screws into the unprotected motor windings , ie no mesh to prevent them falling in . . .Storage box is Typical DeWalt , good ;sturdy ,and durable . You will need to remove the dust extaction to get it back into the box though . Overall a pleasure to use , smooth action . I found it easy to set up , and I'm a novice .

PositiveYou don't need to unscrew anything to change a cutter. Press in the locking button and use the spanner to undo the locking spindle nut. Simples. The handles are perfectly sturdy.
