THE FESTOOL 2200EB AND SETBought this router expecting it to match price. the talk and build up I got from axminster staff was its the best of the best. sadly so far it has failed to live up to to a couple of factors. was using it to cut a worktop joint and the dust was to much to use in in a clean home, a brand new festool hoover was connected as recommended by axminster.

Festool of 2200 setHaving used the of1400 for the last two yrs finally bit the bullet and purchased this kit so much more power and weight it's nice to go back to a proper router having been tought fabricating with makita routers. The extra bases are worth purchasing as there is no side fence in main box

Festo OF 2200Having finally killed my old Elu router on some large section green oak framing I bit the bullet and bought the most expensive router on the market complete with the accessory kit. The ratchet change on the collet is a joy spanner on once no more fiddling on and off every quarter turn. Extraction system through the base works extremely well. Guide bush changing is made by removing the base plate via on simple quarter turn lever and guide bushes are located by pin and magnet below and base plate refitted less than a 20 second job. Fine height adjuster works simply and is very precise in 1 tenth of a millimetre increments. Motor and soft start have more than ample power. Having used it for three weeks again on a large oak framing job I don't regret the purchase at all.
