Simply the best blade on the market

I ordered these blades by mistake S75/4 and S75/4 FSG are very different blades the latter being much more expensive! The FSG type are somewhat thicker, and as a consequence are stiffer....while the actual blade cutting edge seems a little different and unique to Festool. The results are astounding ...very straight cuts in thick wood especially when using the Festool rail. They also seem to be longer lasting and as a previous reviewer noted they can be given an extended life by a little judicious fine filing of the teeth.

I have in the past used Bosch jigsaw blades and found them really good ..especially the bimetal types with their unique teeth apparently made at a specialised factory in Switzerland ...however in my view the FSG Festool blades are remarkable and I highly recommend.

Excellent blades

I believe the design of this particular blade is exclusive to Festool, there being no Bosch equivalent, and it gives superb cutting results with clean, perpendicular cuts down to 65mm radius in 40mm thick softwood where we had problems with other blades wandering.

Blade life is very good too, with them well outlasting the previous blade used on this job.

Festool jigsaws are not essential as we use them in Dewalts, both mains and cordless with great results.

S 75/4 FSG/5 Festool Jigsaw blades

I recently had a Festool jigsaw blades given to me as a sample..
I have found this blade is far superior to the cheaper Bosch blades that I had been using. Although they are quite expensive to some other well known makes of blade they seem to cut a more true cut in soft and hard woods. For anyone who has a battery operated jigsaw these blade should be a must buy blade as they cut wood with a lot less effort than cheaper blades. They are also a stronger blade as they are thicker than normal and therefore do not distort so much as others do.
If you are unlucky enough to catch a nail while sawing with this blade I have found that by placing the blade in an engineers vice you can very easily resharpen them with a 150mm long three cornered saw file. This in effect reduces the cost by the number of times that you are able to resharpen them. ie one re-sharpen reduces the price to one half as you get to use it again rather than throwing it out and using a new one.
