Ideal for square assembly

These plates are quite heavy, which to me makes it easier to make small adjustments of their positioning. Once clamped to the edge of one board, a second board can be very precisely fit and clamped at 90 degrees vertical, and left there with small risk of tipping over - another benefit of the weight of these plates.
They are just as useful when one needs to have a 'zero-line' for measurements, or - with some care - as a temporary saw guide. Those in need, can use these plates for setting up 2" 3" or 4" with high precision. Though marketed as metric, they are in fact not; a small thing without much consequence.
