Absolute Beast

Don't you hate product reviews and all the reviewer speaks about is the excellent service they got!!. Well we all know about and consistently experience Aximinster's excellent service, so I'm going to actually review the product in this 'product review' box.

As per previous reviews; if you want flimsy light-weight construction, then don't buy this stand. This is an absolute beast.
It's a heavy thing, but it needs to be in order to carry the stated 200kg (which I fully believe it could carry and more!).

I bought it for its heavy construction so it would last, but more importantly for me, the Axi stand rises to just over 1200mm with the ball roller in place. This is the highest on the market - I may stand corrected with that claim, but I couldn't find one that stands this tall. In the standard roller mode, I stands 1120 mm. In the ball mode it rises to enough height to assist me when I'm at my drill press (on a wheeled unit I made, so sits quite high), The roller option is excellent also, and gives you that stable helping hand when placing sheet material on the table saw. Would definitely recommend.

Top-notch piece of kit

If you want prissy construction, fiddly knobs, and wobbling as soon as you look at it, this Roller Ball Stand is NOT for you. With a maximum weight bearing load of 200kg, this is a very serious piece of kit indeed, with so much built-in overkill you'll never have to worry about over-loading or over-stressing it. Absolutely pleased as punch with the item and more than happy with the cost. Outstanding.

Very Impressive

High quality ball race on roller. Infinitely variable height adjustment. 50 mill box construction. Eccentric adjuster on all 'feet' for levelling. Flip-over ball bearing surface. And less than 30 quid on offer! Had to write a review - very well done Axminster. This is actually worth the 60 quid.
If in doubt - buy!

great bit of kit, fantastic build quality

Got this as outfeed for my planner thicknesser and its well built from 3-4mm steel box section. At less than £30 fantastic value. Given it 5 stars on features due to the 8 large ball bearings which fit over the roller bar and allow materials to be fed from any durection rather than the roller where feed must be perpendicular to the roller. So very happy with purchase. Will review after some further use.

Seriously HEAVY duty

I have two very cheap roller stands, but they stopped being useful very quickly. The grip that sets the height soon bends the inner of the telescoping tubes and then it's impossible for it to grip at the height you want. I bought one of these because they were half price – what a bargain! They are big, heavy, and STRONG. As well as levelling feet, they are much easier to adjust than the cheap ones. I should have bought these from the start, it woiuld have saved me money in the long run. At full price they are certainly expensive, and that would have intimidated me, but long term, if you use stands more than just VERY occcasionally and with very light timbers, I'd recommend these.
