Good to have handy in a workshop

I am an amateur woodworker. Apart from the obvious uses for hand sanding wood, I find these blocks ideal for rust removal on small metal items. I place a block in a bench vice, the block surface about half an inch above the bench top. I add rust removing gel to the block and rub each metal surface to be cleaned about 50 strokes. That is usually enough to remove surface rust. I generally use 100 grit.
