Science not solvents, Eco Solutions paint stripper is ahead of the game. Using unique technology Home Strip is a very effective paint and varnish remover without the need for toxic solvents (dichloromethane, DCM, methylene chloride the main constituent of many strippers used today will be banned from retail outlets shortly). Home Strip is safe to use, non-toxic, no fumes or skin burns; you can work in confined areas without worrying about ventilation. Effective paint stripping has never been easier or safer, and it goes twice as far as solvent based stripper. Stay ahead of the game and stay safe with Home Strip Paint & Varnish Remover.

Most effective paint stripper I've ever usedSince EC rules which reduced VOC content in paint strippers, Nitromors effectiveness has been neutralised so I've been looking for a good replacement product and this is it. Most domestic-use chemical strippers seem to be alchohol-based now and requre several applications and mechanical activation for a result. Homestrip is water-based, safe to use with bare hands and works on almost any paint or glue. It will remove dry paint embedded in masonry just by brushing with a toothbrush and a water rinse. I've even removed stoved powder-coating from heating radiators without difficulty. Even the old dichloromethane-based strippers struggled with these tasks as well as being messy and hazardous. To get the best result, patience is required so don't expect it to work in 5 minutes. Just spread a layer of Homestrip over the painted surface with fingers, brush or glue spreader and wait at least 30 minutes but preferably longer. If ambient temperature means that the Homestrip will dry out, make it a generous layer or economise by covering it with clingfilm or sandwich wrapping to prevent evaporation. This makes it much more economical than other strippers I've used despite the apparent high price. Renovate your old paintbrushes by leaving them in a plastic bag containing Homestrip. Remove screen-printing from plastic containers for re-use. This stuff is brilliant yet benign, saving the cost of rubber gloves and solvent cleaning required by other strippers. I was sceptical at first and purchased only a 500ml tub but I wouldn't use anything else now, preferring it even to burning off old exterior paint; no more charred wood or cracked panes.

It worksHaving only ever used the more familiar caustic variety of paint stripper I thought I'd take a chance on how well or not a more "friendly" product might work. No fumes..no burns nothing exciting, just bubbled paint easily removed with a scraper. Wish this product had been around years ago...
