Hultafors Scandinavian chisels are sharp, reliable and always at hand. Hultafors have designed a chisel for tough precision and all-round use, from fine tuning a joint or fitting hinges to chopping, prying and scraping. Builders, carpenters, floor-layers, roofers, locksmiths and painters basically all need the same thing, a chisel blade that can take a beating with a handle that is unafraid of the hammer. The blades are perfectly sharpened high-quality Japanese steel with an Electrophoretic deposition for protection against corrosion. The heavy-duty handle is glass fibre reinforced PP-plastic that can stand even the most hard-hitting hammer blow. Each chisel comes with a tough holster that easily attaches to a belt, pocket, or jeans-button. The holster features ventilation holes and a window so that you can see the size. Sizes available 12mm to 25mm, blade length 100mm, overall length: 232mm.

how can a company which makes such good knifes not make descent chisels?I bought the 10mm &12mm version of these chisels a few months ago and my initial impressions where good as they come in a gucci plastic sheath. But when it came to use the chisels, sharpening them showed some major design flaws as the black coating covers the entire steel including the back which when the coating is removed reveals a unflat surface which takes a lot of work to get to a usable state. The coating also covers either side making it unusable for mortises as the coating does not cut the corners but when it is removed the actual width is almost a full millimetre less than it should be defeating the whole purpose of buying certain widths. That said the handles are some of the most comfortable and allow good grip for paring. The steel is alright but unfortunately it is much softer than even some of my cheap Stanley's.
