Good stone but not as fine as I'd like

I bought a Norton Fine india stone to complement some older Norton stones I already use. The stone that was delivered was not USA made but originated in Mexico, I hope that the quality is equivalent. I found this stone cuts well and quite quickly but it is not as fine as the older Norton Fine/Coarse combination stone I own. The edge would certainly benefit from a strop to refine the edge and give a polish to the bevel. All in all it's not bad and should last me a long, long time.
