This special small Japanese saw is only 340mm(13.1/2") long overall with a blade 150mm(6") long and 25mm deep. Its fine teeth (19tpi) and thin kerf (0.7mm) make it perfect for dovetail work. Cuts on the pull stroke, giving easier control when working to fine tolerances.

nice sawAlthough I generally prefer western style saws, i find this saw quite effective for fine work (such as dovetails). It is sharp, light and comforable to use. Considering the price it is rather amazing value.

RoughcutThis saw is not for fine work. Teeth are big and set quite wide apart leaving a bigger kerf than my Dozuki saw.
