The Jet JWBS-14Q is intended for heavy work and has balanced cast alloy blade wheels, a superb cast iron table which can tilt from -10° to +45°, and a locking rip fence which is supported at the front and rear of the table and extends slightly beyond the cast iron table to give an excellent capacity on both sides of the blade. On the face of the rip fence is a parallel cutting attachment which is ideal for re-sawing. The mitre fence is 'T' slotted into the table for accuracy, safety and extended capacity. The blade is guided both above and below the table with micrometer-adjusted thrust and bearing rollers which give a positive support to the blade, resulting in a very good quality of cut and extended blade life.
With fully interlocked doors, easily accessible, dual function quick release blade tension for easy blade changing and tracking controls, this machine is for the professional workshop where an accurate bandsaw with good capacities will become a very popular machine with which to work. To move this machine around the workshop we recommend the purchase of the mobile base unit. This additional base unit is easy to fit and allows the machine to be moved without fear of tipping the unit over or causing any damage to either the operator or the machine.

Quality machineThis is a very well made machine. It took me about two hours to remove it from the crate and set it up properly. The blade guides are extremely easy to adjust without having to adopt contorted positions. I did not have the same problem as the above reviewer - the fence came disassembled, so I could tighten all the bolts to my own satisfaction. I particularly like the re-saw attachment. Please note, the machine does not come with feet, so it needs a level surface. However, there are pre-drilled 10 mm holes to accept feet. I would recommend this machine.

Band saw Jwbs14A good machine for the price. It will take a lot of setting up, don't rely on the manufacturers setup, mine was dare I say thrown together. My biggest problem was in the fence, the 4 screws were tightened so much it crushed and distorted the aluminium profile of the fence due to no spacers fitted in the top section. This made the faces non-parallel along the length with a 2 degree bow at the fixture end.
