A simple dust extraction hood mounted on an adjustable height stand. Very useful for situations where direct connection to a machine is not possible, such as woodturning. Having a robust ABS hood fastened to a 100mm diameter metal tube, this is easily connected to flexible extraction hose leading from your extraction system. The steel stand gives a useful height range from 750-1,200mm and has 3 feet, so no wobbles on your uneven workshop floor! The hood has an inlet of 320 x 35mm creating a good airflow, an extractor of at least 750m3/hour is recommended. Will not accept Big mouth dust hood (200114)

Not happyBought this item so that I could stop dust going everywhere when turning bowls, no good. Tried using it as delivered (horizontal), no good, tried turning the nozzle round by unscrewing it and re-screwing it, no good. Tried putting the nozzle near the wood, dust still went everywhere. I am using a strong extractor by Record power. It may be built well but if it does not do what you expect, it is just an expensive ornament and further clutter in my small workshop.

Excellent valueThe unit is supplied for home assembly which was very easy. It builds up into a much more stable unit than I had anticipated given its economy status. The nozzle tilts and the entire stand can easily be turned to get the mouth of the hood exactly where you need it.

Beware of poor constructionBearing in mind this is not a very expensive item, the one I received had a disappointing design flaw. The slot/mouth when assembled was not parallel with the floor, this wouldn't have mattered if the slot would swivel but it is fixed with 4 screws. Rather than returning it I modified it by making it swivel! Also the clip provided for securing the hose to the tube is of standard width but the tube has been provided with a narrower slot. Small things I grant but very annoying if you expect to assemble and go.
