An update to my last reviewI have given this tool some good use, and it is still going strong, so fair play to it for that.

Not quite perfectMost of my power tools (belt sander, two drills, planer, mitre saw, plunge saw) are Makita.

why?I brought it as a back up my Festool and replace my old trusted DeWalt plam sander (which had a very hard life) ... the cable is so short it makes any site work impossible without an uisng an extension cable. usless ... nothing wrong with the sander but the cable makes it pointless ... try again Makita or perhaps you should be putting cables on toasters.
