Package Deal comprises Makita DHP458 body and a 4.0AH battery
Makita DHP458Z Combi Drill 18V (Body Only)
At only 225mm long this is a very compact drill. The DHP458 has screwdriving, drilling and hammer drilling capabilities. It certainly packs a punch; the 4-pole motor develops a maximum torque of 91Nm. Not surprisingly it comes with a long auxiliary handle (depth stop included). Such a powerful machine requires all metal gears and a 2-speed aluminium gear box. The all-steel industrial keyless chuck allows single handed bit changing. This tool can cope with tough conditions and harsh environments, indoors or outdoors. Twin bright LEDs above the switch illuminate the working area. It has the power to drill a 65mm diameter hole in wood using a solid bit or drive a 120mm holesaw.
Makita BL1840 Li-Ion Battery 18V (4.0Ah)
Makita 18V 4.0Ah Lithium Ion battery contains high energy density technology. Being Lithium Ion it has no memory effect and is much lighter than other battery chemistries. Re-charge in just 36 minutes with the Makita DC18RC charger. Look for the Makita 'Star' on your tool connector for total protection of battery and tool.
Please note: 4.0Ah battery fits all existing Makita 18V Li-Ion machines with the yellow connector plate (starred or not); it fits the black connector if a 'star' is showing. 'Star' on machine plate and on battery ensures they talk to each other for battery/tool protection.
Supplied with side handle and depth stop, body and battery (without charger).

Fantastic DrillMy third Makita drill - and it's a belter. The recent trend seems to be for brushless motors - this isn't - but it's brimming with power and torque. I swear that I see screws wince when I pick it up.
