Great build and HUGE powerThis thing lives up to the hype - the first time I started it I was blown away by the power. It almost rips your hand off! The build quality feels good and it should last a long time. If I have to pick on one problem then it would be the weight! I wish it could have been about 300 to 400g lighter - then it would be perfect! For an all round powerhouse it can not be be faulted

Best 18V drill i've ever usedBought it immediately when it hit the market and have used it extensively ever since. The long handle makes it excellent for mixing mortar and performance is on par with a corded drill - it has incredibly torque. My other primary use has been drilling with carbide tipped holesaws in mixed materials and this thing just rips through bricks hard or soft in high speed gear like it aint no thing. One of the really amazing things with this drill is its torque in high gear which makes it fly through anything you throw at it. Percussion drilling in brick wall is also FAST, very, very fast. Built quality is top of the mark as you would expect from Makita and this drill can take some serious abuse without complaining. Highly recommended.
