Monitors the air flow within a duct system
Provides "at a glance" information
Satisfies the HSE guidance requirements
A simple 0-5kPa manometer, used to monitor the air flow within ducting used as part of a dust/chip extractor system (LEV). The fitting of a manometer on each "hood", e.g. extraction point, is recommended as a method of daily monitoring of the system's performance by the HSE in their LEV checklist for employers. This unit provides an "at a glance" monitoring of the system at each extraction point each time it is used, thus satisfying the requirements under the HSE's guidance. These are used by our own Extraction Installation team when fitting new systems.
