Rugged and effective

I already had top of the range, heavy and very expensive, tungsten carbide tipped (TCT) splitting and pitching chisels but I bought this Ansell splitting chisel and matching pitching chisel for the lighter work when building a wall in Mendip grey limestone: the Ansell chisels being lighter are much easier to handle. But I was pleasantly surprised to find the the Ansell chisels hold an edge well and are rugged, so now I tend to use the Ansell chisels most and only use the TCT tools for really heavy work.

In addition to the reasonable price, Axminister Tools delivered the next day.

Highly recommended.
