Very finely made mason's pitcher with heavy 25mm hexagon forged steel shafts, hardened, tempered and ground. The pitcher has a forged blade so that the back is flat and the 63mm(2.1/2") wide blade is bevelled on one side. A Stone Masons Pitcher is used for removing lumps of stone on the face or sides of a block of stone in order to give a good fit or better dressed face.

Excellent Pitching ChiselI bought this pitching chisel and matching splitting chisel from Axminster Tools to cut and shape Mendip grey limestone for a wall. I already have a set of highly expensive tungsten carbide tipped chisels but wanted these chisels for lighter more detailed work. But to my surprise I find that the Axminster chisels to be very rugged and hold an edge well. They are also nice to handle. So now, unless dealing with large stones, I use the Axminster chisels for most stone work.
