In Detail

The chrome-plated roller is some 60mm in diameter and 290mm long and can be set from 740mm to 1,200mm in height. The feet of the stand are independently adjustable to accommodate uneven workshop floors and the patented height locking device ensures that the height setting cannot be reduced no matter what the load is on the roller. For sheet materials the integral ball attachment can be slipped in place to provide support for any type of board material. Maximum weight limit is 60kg.

Good design features

You might think that rollers are just rollers. But having bought two of these 12 months ago, they have a couple of good design features which I particularly like.

The tapered stem that fits into the leg section means it's really easy to adjust the height of the roller, even with one hand, and there's no way it can move once locked.

Secondly, the brilliantly simple design of the adjustable feet means you can stop the whole thing rocking really easily. But also that you can make sure the roller is horizontal across its width so that it is in exactly the same plane as the table on the machine you're using the rollers with.

My only gripe is that they can't be set low enough to use when my planer-thicknesser is in thicknessing mode. But to be useful for this they would also need a graduated adjustment for height so that they can be raised by the same amount as the thicknesser table as the timber gets thinner.

They seem good and strong, so should last a lifetime.

Good solid rollers

Good, well made, solid rollers which can more than take the load.
