In Detail

Abranet® is a revolutionary abrasive material offering dust free sanding with no clogging. The Velcro backed open mesh design features thousands of tiny holes which will make sure that when used with suitable extraction the passage of dust will be incredibly efficient. Because Abranet® abrasive keeps the surface that you are sanding dust free, this results in a very uniform scratch pattern leaving an ultra smooth finish. It is incredibly durable and will last twice as long as many conventional abrasives making it very cost effective. These Velcro backed strips are suitable for a wide range of materials including those used in the decorating, woodworking and automotive industries.

The future of sanding

Been using this stuff for a year now, almost always on Mirka vacuum sanding block with vacuum attached! Almost any vacuum could be used. I have had fantastic results, the sheets last ages and minimal mess.

Incredible!

Oh wow! This stuff is like magic! If you're using it on a lathe be warned, it generates a huge amount of dust out of the BACK of the sheets. It is however a small price to pay for such quick sanding. I smoothed rounded log from 80 grit to 600 in 2-3 minutes with ridiculous ease. Slightly strange that the 400 and 600 grits only come in boxes of 50, made the experiment slightly more expensive, but I don't regret it all now. Just got to be mindful of the dust...it's also mesmerising watching the dust swirl out the back. Bonus!

Best yet for pens

This stuff is ideal for finishing pens in both wood and other materials, particularly with Corrian and acrylics because they can be used wet. I use 5 grades (120 through to 600) . I cut small sheets in half for finishing which is really all you need for small items.

Great Stuff & next to no dust using my H-class vacuum

Really love this technology. Miles better than the prehistoric sandpaper that so many still use.

This stuff is stunning

This is an excellent product which is fast, clean and hard wearing in use. You do need to makes sure you don't apply excessive pressure, which can cause the pads to tear. But as long as it is treated reasonably the pad will cut more quickly, smoothly and for longer without clogging (as long as dust extraction is used) than any other material I have ever used.
