The CEROS random orbit sander from Mirka is a new concept in this type of power tool. By utilising a separate 22V transformer and a brushless 400W DC motor, the weight of the sander can be kept to an absolute minimum. At 870g the sanding of vertical or overhead surfaces no longer causes the fatigue associated with normal sanders when used for this type of work. The control and smoothness is second to none and the balance is superb enabling easy one handed use. The digitally controlled speed range covers 4,000 - 10,000rpm and when used with Mirka Abranet®, the sander produces a flawless finish for a huge range of sanding applications. Fitted with a standard backing pad with a 5/16" (8mm) thread the universal hole pattern of the pad enables the fitting of many different makes and types of abrasive disc. 2+1 Extended warranty on Mirka sanders, registration required within 30 days.

best sander for decoratorsVery good dust pick up using the henry vac.Sander works extremely well, best sander for Painter and Decorators. If using a henry type vac it is best to reinforce the seal on the hepa bag with a wire tie, since when the bag gets a bit full the air pressure forces the dust past the seal.

Awsome - 2This has got to be the best tool and sooo quiet! Only downside (for the price) you don't get the dust extractor hose, which for the price is somewhat mean. A good box to store it in would have been very useful....

MagnificentI've got three of these and if you want one of mine you'll have to prise it from my cold dead hand. I have used all sorts of ROS over the years. Festool was great but fussy about disks. Metabo was great but a bit heavy. These are great, light, and have an extensive and useful range of disks and accessories. I use the foam backing pad on one so that it deals better with curved edges and use the backing sheets because replacing pads was one of the things that made the Festool uneconomic. Until somebody comes up with a cordless sander that runs on the dust it creates its difficult to imagine a better tool than this one. Maybe pricey for a hobbyist but absolutely worth it if you use one all day.

AwesomeAs professional spray-painter decorators we searched high and low for an electric random-orbit sander that performed just like an air-driven one.
