Hand Planing & Sharpening

Bench-side instruction on sharpening and using hand planes. Rob walks you through the sharpening and use of four basic shop hand planes, the block, the smoother, the jointer and the rabbet plane. Each is explained and demonstrated for its intended use. The basics of water stone sharpening is taught with a bonus segment using the Charlesworth ruler trick to speed up the process. As an option to restoring old planes this DVD is intended to teach how to get the most from sharpening and using high quality new planes.
