Get the angles right, every time when grinding a tool's bevel. The Axminster Sharpening Rest is suitable for most 150mm and 200mm bench grinders. The jig provides a wide stable platform on which to place the tool, it is supplied with a tool clamp that runs smoothly in a groove thus ensuring grinding is square and even. The unit can be moved back & forth on its base and with two pivot points, it is easily set to grind at almost any angle. Fix this jig onto the bench in front of the grinder and forget about the guess work when trying to accurately reproduce a bevel angle. Takes blades up to 65mm wide.

"I did not find this device measured up to expectations. I think the cheaper one would be better for a wood turner.
The base dictated how far the grinder needed to be away from the front of the bench. this means that long handled tools bottom out onthe front of the bench before the angle is achived. The whole adjustment mechanisim could not be tightend sufficently to prevent it moving under the slightest downward pressure. thowing the angles out and clogging the wheel withaluminium. the tool clamp is a waste of time. Perhaps I am not using it right!"
