Axminster VA Precision Milling Vices

The jaw plates of the VA vices can be fitted at either end of both the static and moving jaws, thus varying the clamping width capacity. Be warned though, the jaws only stand about 5mm proud of the body when in the extended position so provide only a limited clamping depth; in the standard position they will clamp up to 35mm deep. The vices have swivel bases and are made from high grade cast iron with hardened and ground steel jaw plates. The heat treated leadscrews operate into a ball nut which ensures that the moving jaws will not slide up under the clamping pressure. Finish is white enamel with ground working surfaces.
