Estwing Weight Forward Hammers
These space-age looking hammers are the result of Estwing's radical re-design of the humble claw hammer, a largely unchanged design since Noah's early ventures into boatbuilding. The gently curved shaft shifts the weight slightly forward, making for a more efficient hammer and increasing its effectiveness. The square face and the sweep of the claw allow nails to be driven practically flush into a corner. A moulded gasket between the forged steel head and the fibreglass handle reduces shock by up to 50%, a great benefit to those who use their hammer day in and day out. The extension of the head down the front of the shaft protects the shaft in the case of a miss-hit. What more could you ask for in a hammer? Two sizes are available, with handles of 350mm(14") and 400mm(16"), both with 595g(21oz) heads.
