Jet JMD-18 Vertical Mill/Drill

A well-built milling/drilling machine with a powerful continuous-load motor, intended for trade use. The work table is precision made with adjustable dovetail guides and is notable for its 805mm length and 520mm travel. There is a choice of quill downfeed - the three-armed handle on the side for drilling and a fine feed control wheel on the front for milling. The hinged guard on the top, fitted with a safety micro switch, gives easy access to the belt and pulleys for speed changing. Other features include taper roller bearing support for the spindle, easy-to-read drilling depth stop and a low voltage work light. The combination of generous sized column and rugged cast iron construction throughout reduces vibration and guarantees accurate and chatter-free operation. A heavy duty sheet steel cabinet stand is available as an extra.
