Chippings extractor for woodturning, planing, spindle moulding or sawing in a home workshop Inlet diameter is 100mm Airflow sufficient for the majority of waste Can be used either horizontally or suspended from a wall
Axminster AWDE5002 Extractor
This extractor can be used in situations, such as woodturning, planing, spindle moulding or sawing, where a higher airflow and a larger inlet pipe than provided by a vacuum cleaner is required. The inlet diameter is 100mm(4"), the outlet into the bag is 125mm(5") and the airflow is sufficient to handle the majority of waste likely to be produced by the home workshop. Please note that this is a chippings extractor and should not be expected to collect fine dust. As with all the large hose diameter, high airflow machines, the inlet should not be restricted to below 75mm diameter and the bag should be emptied regularly. A useful feature is that it can be used either in the horizontal position or suspended from a wall using the two hanging brackets provided. Hose not supplied, see below for details. Axminster AWDE5002 Extractor
"I have owned this model previously as the Perform CCDE5002 extractor.
This 'white' version now comes with a Trade rating. I have found it to work very well in conjunction with a small planer, thicknesser, router table and it even did a good job at keeping my 12" bandsaw clean.
You cannot expect this machine to collect extra fine MDF dust; it is a decent all-round chip collector. I found the option of wall-mounting it with the supplied brackets to be a great idea. If only the collection bag was larger; it's a bit of a pain to keep emptying."
